Have you seen those existentialist “Garfield Minus Garfield” strips on teh internets yet? The ones where Garfield is Photoshopped out and his owner Jon is just talking to himself like a maniac?
Well, the publisher of the Garfield collections, Ballantine, is actually going to print a volume of the re-mixed strips. And Garfield’s creator, Jim Davis, has given the project his blessing.
The “Garfield Minus Garfield” book will feature a forward by its brainchild Dan Walsh, and will present the edited and unedited strips side-by-side for easy comparison.
Still waiting for an official collection: The Nietzsche Family Circus.
