Watch Streaming Netflix On Your XBox 360!

Just another reason for my boyfriend to hurry up and get that Xbox 360 — as if Rock Band wasn’t enough.

Microsoft has just announced a deal that will allow Xbox 360 Live Gold users to play streaming video from their Netflix queues for no extra charge. They will also be able to share and watch the movies with the rest of their friends in their Live party.

I think this is rather big news — and a big partnership. Just another step towards what I envision to be the future, one device for all media and uses — a combo game player/computer/TV/phone/media center.

iPhone Abacus App – New Twist On Old Concept

Standard calculator interfaces are too boring and retro. Instead, why not opt for extremely retro — and sync it to your brand new iPhone?

The iPhone Abacus app was created by a Japanese developer, and simulates use of the ancient calculating system that originated in China. Simply move the “beads” on the abacus depicted on your iPhone screen, and math is made easy!

The iPhone Abacus can be downloaded into your phone — and it should be noted that this is not an official Apple app.

Check out video of it in use here.

Say, have any of you ever noticed getting robo-zombie babe spam in your MySpace friends list? I’m talking about hot chicks who suddenly appear in your friends box, ones you’ve never approved. Amber. Glynis. Another Amber. A third Amber. An Amber with two Rs: Amberr.

So what is this, an actual spam virus that enters your MySpace account? It’s like I leave the account for a few minutes, and then — oh noes! Porn! Many buttcheeks.

In fact, I think MySpace might be the buttcheek capital of the social media universe.

“Pet Plant” Shows You Your Plant’s Emotions

The new gadget “Pet Plant” by Junyi Heo allows you to see your plant’s “emotions” — whether it needs water, is too hot, and other conditions that might lead to a cranky houseplant.

The secret to Pet Plant is in its pot. “Digital Pot” is fitted with sensors that process a series of data about the soil and its surrounding environment, and translates the information into pictograms on a digital display.

If your plant is thirsty, the pictogram on the screen will scowl at you. And you deserve it, too!

And if you overwater “Fluffy,” not to worry — the pot will automatically drain the excess.

Couldn’t find any ordering information, but a cool gadget like this will probably be hitting the shelves soon.

About two thirds into this video depicting the microwaving of a cell phone, what looks like a demon spontaneously erupts from the molten plastic and emits a howl of ear-splitting anger.

One of the most disturbing YouTube videos I’ve ever seen.
